History

The Ducken Farm, home to Anna Ducken for 90 years until she passed at age 98, functioned for the better part of the last century as a working farm on North Whidbey Island. Anna’s father, Chris Weidenbach, built the barn in 1903 and the house in 1909. This beautiful property is now owned by Henry and Karen TePaske. They restored the original 120 year old barn 6 years ago for one of their daughter’s wedding, and have since opened it up to the public as a venue for events and weddings. The barn, featuring a new roof and floor, underwent careful repairs to honor and preserve the original post and beam construction built in a Dutch Barn style. The farmhouse is currently under restoration and will be available in the near future as part of the property amenities.
